Getting started with Selenium WebDriver
Roy de Kleijn, Polteq Testing Services
Today’s companies are starting to realize the advantages of test automation. Test automation will reduce the regression testing time, limit repetitive work and give testers the opportunity to do some real thinking on more complex test scenarios. Selenium WebDriver is a tool which interacts with browsers. It enables us to create tests through the GUI, because it can simulate all kinds of user interactions.
The participants will be fully guided in the creation of a test automation framework. Roy will continuously write and explain code together with the candidates. After the workshop participants will be able to set up an automation project by themselves, in order for them to start automating test scripts. Additionally, some interesting design patterns will be introduced to create an easy to maintain test automation framework. For this workshop Java is used as programming language. Java knowledge is required and candidates need to bring a laptop.
